Welcome to 4R, a haven for rescue horses to rehabilitate and retrain while awaiting to be re-homed. 4R provides acres of lush pastureland and shady ponds to these eloquent animals, who have been victims of injury, malnourished, and abuse and which many were rescued from a destination of slaughter. Veterinarian care is provided for those that arrive with injuries and diseases and are nursed back to health by trained and caring professionals. Skilled training is available from halter training young colts to training mature horses for various levels of rider skills. 4R asks for your interest and support to ensure our rescues can be provided homes that offer the humane and responsible care that they deserve.

Every year, more than 2,000 racehorses retire from racing in OK. Like people changing jobs, these horses need to learn new skills, adapt to new environments, and sometimes find new homes.

Established in 2000, Retraining of Racehorses 4 R RESCUE REHAB RETRAIN RE-HOME INC is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all former racehorses through various preventative measures, including:

Setting industry standards for retraining former racehorses.
Providing training and education to owners to build lifelong partnerships with their retired racehorses.
Promoting the versatility of these horses in various equestrian activities and facilitating their participation in competitions.
Maintaining a robust tracking system for former racehorses through RoR membership.
